The club have been re-accredited with their ECB Clubmark status for a further 3 years thanks to some sterling efforts from Cate Hayes.
Chairman Guy Dibley has sent a message out below . . .
It is with great pleasure that I am writing to you confirming that West Bridgfordians Cricket Club, has just been re-accredited with ourECB Club Mark award for another 3 years.
This re- accreditation recognises our role (locally and nationally) as a leading provider of cricket development within the local community. Additionally, we have also received special commendation from Trent Bridge regarding our Club Mark manual ( coaching plan and evidence) and the actual running of our junior coaching, which in their words ‘sets the standard and benchmark for other clubs to follow’ – praise indeed.
As I am sure you will appreciate, this is great news for WBCC which I wanted to share with all of you as it represents a great achievement by Cate Hayes, our junior co-ordinator, who has managed the process (and all of us at the club) in her normal, very professional andorganised manner. A very big thank you to Cate. Whilst Cate has been the primary driver of this process, she is also the first to recognisethe massive effort, professionalism and skill of all the club coaches and helpers, whether club members, young helpers or parent helpers who have all given so much of their time to make our junior sections so successful – a very big thank you to all of you as well – we can’t do it without you.
As a club which is run and operated by a complete team of volunteer people, my thanks go out to all of you. Whilst on the subject of volunteers, in order for the club to continue having future successes, we need more people to step forward to take on board both key and support roles within the club.
Should you be able to give the club any of your valuable time and skills, then please contact me directly – your help will be gratefully appreciated.
I look forward to sharing our future successes with you all.
