Alastair Pettit was the match winner for the 1st XI with stunning figures of 8-43 against Wilsons CC this Saturday. After posting 192-9 on what looked a sub-standard pitch the 1s looked up against it as Wilsons got off to a flying start.
The dismissal of opener Ahmed, bowled by Petitt set the 1s up and the rest crumbled away to Ally's accurate stump attacking line.
Wilsons were all out for 172 giving the 1s their 3rd win of the season.
The 2nd XI hosted leaders Radcliffe-on-Trent IIs and were blown away in their reply to the visitors 167-8.
Captain Terrill's 3-25 kept Radcliffe in check but the top order fell away as the 2s struggled to gain any momentum and were bowled out for 88.
The 3rd team's woes continued with another defeat, this time at the hand of Young Lions.
A below par 128-8 off 45 overs was never enough with the home side knocking the runs off with 16 overs to spare with only Eathan Brookes' two wickets to show for it.
The 4th team's good run came to an end at the hands of Old Dalby. Tom le Noury's 27 was the highlight of the innings as the 4s posted 137-9 off 40 overs. The visitors were in trouble at 28-3 but some huge hitting from their experienced batsmen saw them home with 7 wickets and plenty of overs to spare.
